Inspired by recent advances in origami, Oru Kayak founder Anton Willis was in search of way to make his love for kayaking work with the constraints of San Francisco apartment living. After 25 full-scale prototypes that were tested on waterways in the Bay Area and beyond, Oru Kayak was born – a compact, foldable, 26-pound vessel that takes you from “box to boat in 5 minutes”.
